Easy IR sensor upgrade

Designed to detect flammable gases and vapours, Draeger's ATEXapproved DraegerSensor IR has been developed to allow pellistors or catalytic bead sensors to be replaced easily, without creating technical problems.

Even in the harshest of conditions, the new poisonresistant, fail-safe sensors are simple to install simply unscrew the traditional pellistor and screw in the DraegerSensor IR.

By implementing a half Wheatstone Bridge emulation, the sensor is able to send a mV signal to the controller module which, in turn, responds as if the original pellistor were still in place. As a result, each of the control systems made by Draeger, as well as components of most other brands, are supported.

The device has three-wire connection which eliminates the need for extra cabling.
