Fit test kits and train the-trainer courses

In addition to manufacturing qualitative face fit test kits, Alpha Solway conducts trainthe- trainer courses in the use of such kits and issues ‘Competence Certificates’ so that testing may then be carried out inhouse.

The kit can be used to test all disposable dust respirators and all mask respirators fitted with particulate filters.

The company has also recently launched its 3000 series of disposable respirators. Features include pre-formed nosebridge, continuous loop headstrap and no metal parts. Breathing resistance is low and the respirators are said to be comfortable to wear.

Alpha Solway says that industry, using both quantitative and qualitative techniques of fit testing, have independently tested a number of FFP3 masks and found the 303V EN149:2001 disposable respirator to have an excellent pass rate when compared to equivalent masks on the market.
