Introduced to deal with dust and hot sparks
July 1st 2008

AW50 Dustand Nonflam from Carter Environmental Engineers (CEE) has been installed at the Bird Bellows division of Senior Aerospace to handle dust generated in titanium polishing operations.

At its Congleton plant, the company designs and manufactures precision engineered metallic bellows, flexible joints and duct components for aircraft ducting systems and engine applications.

The unit installed by CEE is designed to act as a bench for a double-ended polishing machine, but can also be used under existing workbenches.

The compact new W50 Dust and Nonflam wet dust extractor combines effective operation with space-saving characteristics.

It is said to be especially suitable for operations where hot sparks are produced, as well as damp dusts that are ideally collected in water.
