Tool HAV advice
July 1st 2009

Complementing its health and safety and training literature – including the Site Safety Pack – A-Plant has published a new Hand-Arm Vibration (HAV) Product Selector, providing a guide to the vibration levels of, and advice on the use of a wide range of powered tools from drills and breakers to brushcutters and hedgecutters.

HAV is vibration transmitted into hands and arms when using handheld powered equipment. Too much exposure to vibration can cause injuries to hands and arms known as Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) or its more common name of Vibration White Finger.
