ATEX lamp provides emergency lighting November 1st 2005 Portable lighting specialist S.A Equipment has introduced an emergency version of its ML800 handlamp, believed to be the first rechargeable ATEX handlamp to feature a powerful LED light source.
Used in combination with the SA MLC charging holder, the ML800 EM will illuminate immediately in the event of a power failure. Once turned on, it will continue to work for up to 7h, whether it is left in-situ or removed for use as a compact handlamp.
Suitable for emergency lighting in working and accommodation areas located in or close to potentially explosive Zone 1 and 2 ATEXclassified environments, the ML800 EM has one of the slimmest profiles of any right angle torch. The ultra lightweight handlamp can be fastened to a belt or clothing for hands-free use. The new model is of ultra-tough, antistatic thermoplastic and aluminium construction and is IP66-rated.
