Mesh safety screen
July 1st 2004 Wire mesh safety screens from Troax UK are used to protect personnel at Boots new 9m dispensing warehouse in Nottingham. The company also custom-designed a wire mesh enclosure to provide storage facilities for secure areas.
The anti-collapse mesh safety screens have been installed along the edge of rows of high bay pallet racking in a picking area of the
100 000ft2 automated warehouse. They are designed to prevent accidents occurring when pallets are being handled, catching products if they become dislodged and preventing them from falling and injuring personnel in the picking area below.
The large wire mesh enclosure provides secure storage for controlled drugs that must be kept separately on the site. To create this enclosure, which is nominally 5m wide, 12m long and 3m high, Troax used its Broadsword range of industrial wire mesh partitioning.
