Portable unit November 1st 2003 An emergency, portable drench shower that packs into a low-profile container for easy stowage, is available from Maestro International.
On site, it can be erected in seconds and connected to a water source for dousing the victim with copious quantities of water in the event of body contamination or relief from exposure to heat.
The P700 comprises: three-section steel pipe that simply screws together and connects with the control valve in the base of the unit; large diameter shower head that delivers a wide water spray; and hose-reel for connecting the control valve to a water source. The compact unit uses the lid of the corrosion-resistant container as the footplate. This activates the control valve as soon as a person stands under the shower head.
