Pain relief for burns victims

Aimed at the catering industry, First Water has developed an easy-to-apply dressing for burns that immediately cools and soothes the affected area.

A cushioning gel pad is placed directly over the burn and provides instant cooling and pain relief for several days.

Eliminating the need to hold the burn under cold running water, the gel can be used in a range of workplace emergencies. No secondary bandages are needed as the treatment cannot run off the burn site.

The low profile, self-adhesive gel dressing protects from water, dirt and bacteria and is protected by a breathable adhesive-coated blue polyurethane film. It can be stored in an accessible location in case of injury as no pre-cooling is required.

As with all First Water’s gel dressings, it is inherently antimicrobial which helps minimise the risk of infection.
