Summons help September 1st 2005 The new Mayday from Hoyles Electronic developments is designed to provide re-assurance to a lone worker by periodically announcing its presence and, if the worker fails to respond, automatically calling for help.
A periodic audible and visual warning is given at pre-determined intervals. If this is ignored, Mayday calls for help at a remote indicator or via a telephone speech dialler or radio pager.
If the system is switched on without electrical power, then an intermittent warning is given, but the system will continue to function on its standby battery. |
