WET DUST EXTRACTION May 1st 2005 A Carter-Thorne Nonflam W185 wet dust extraction unit, with ducting to provide extraction on two separate processes, has been installed by Euro Sheet Metal, West London.
The unit handles steel or aluminium dust from a floormounted fettling booth, and from a Grindingmaster belt linisher. The latter was supplied by Ellesco, with whom Carter Thorne has worked extensively in the past.
Nonflam extractors use a waterfilled tank through which dust and residues are drawn by an impeller fan. Particles sink to the base of the collection tank, where they may be removed easily by raking into a container. Automatic sludge removal systems are also available.
Waste level in the unit is automatically controlled. Nonflam units come in many sizes and with a range of fans precisely rated for individual applications up to 7.5kW for the removal of sticky or oily dust from the metal being treated. Virtually maintenance-free, units are soundsilenced to 81-83dBA, or 78dBA if required. More articles from Carter Environmental Engrs Ltd: |
