GPS device
March 1st 2007

Available from Orbis Monitoring, Cybertrak II is an updated version of the company's lone worker protection service that uses GPS.

The new version is available with a lighter, purpose-designed Twig Discovery Pro GPS/GSM handset from Benefon that features a new satellite navigation option.

In an emergency, at the push of a button, lone workers can connect straight through to operators at the Orbis 24.7 response centre in Cheshire, who will send them the help they need, including, if necessary, the emergency services.

At the same time, satellite positioning technology linked to on screen mapping with street-level detail will show operators, as well as any authorised personnel with internet access, exactly where the lone worker is calling from to within 5m.

The ultra-sensitive, twoway voice channel will record the incident on DVD for use in any legal procedures to prosecute perpetrators of abuse.
