May 1st 2006

A wireless-based personal alarm transmitter with four types of alarm functionality and an incident location capability has been introduced by Ascom Wireless Solutions.

The a51 is designed for use in high security areas or to support lone workers in isolated environments. There are two push button alarms on the front, which can be configured for low and high level alerts, plus automatically transmitted man-down, nomovement and pull cord activation.

Communication is instant and can be fed to a central control or to other handset carriers on the system, individually or to nominated groups.

The a51 measures 85 x 57 x 33 mm, has a rechargeable battery with an operating life of 168 hours
