FIA Website goes live

The Fire Industry Association (FIA) has launched a new website (www.fia.uk.com) which, it believes, is set to become an invaluable point of reference for anybody involved in the fire protection industry.

The website was developed in response to the formation of the new trade association created from the amalgamation of the British Fire Protection Systems Association (BFPSA) and Fire Extinguishing Trades Association (FETA).

Visitors to the website will be able to purchase publications such as fire safety log books and market research reports and will be able to use the secure payment facility to book and pay online for training courses and events.

The search facility, enabling prospective customers to find details of members for their fire safety systems and services, has been streamlined and a new section gives meaning to hundreds of acronyms used in the industry.

The members section has also been revamped. Using a password, members will be able to access a document library where they can access reports, minutes, meeting agendas and so on.
