HAV help
March 1st 2005

A free manual from Industrial Noise and Vibration Centre (INVC) provides a pragmatic, stepby- step guide to implementing best practice in HAV Management in line with the new Hand-Arm Vibration Regulations.

It includes ‘short-cuts’ and advice on how to minimise costs and resources without compromising quality. It also explodes some of the myths often associated with HAV assessment and management.

There is advice on the optimum risk assessment strategy, risk reduction techniques, the purchase or hire of low vibration plant and an explanation of why there is no effective PPE. There is also a section covering a new approach to tool maintenance.
