Pain-free typing
September 1st 2008

Since switching to a Maltron keyboard, Elaine Housby has enjoyed 17 years of pain-free typing. She started having problems with her hands when working as a transcriber, a job which consisted solely of typing.

She left and did temping jobs with a lower typing work load, but still experienced pain in her hands and arms. She ordered a Maltron keyboard for a trial in 1991. Once used to the shape of the board she was soon able to type without pain.

She bought the board, went to university and typed a thesis of around 100 000 words.

Although her keyboard was still working well, Housby decided that after 17 years, it was time for a new board – which now comes with USB connection as standard.
