Blow down bench that reduces pollution
September 1st 2004

The latest blow down bench from air cleaning systems (acs) is designed for the cleaning of machined parts.

The company explains that currently operators apply compressed air to remove oil residue and swarf, causing the resultant mist to pollute the factory.

The BDB500 is designed to put a stop to this practice.

The part to be cleaned is placed onto the perforated worktop of the cabinet. As soon as the operator presses the pedal, a downward flow of air starts and this will entrain the oil residue and solid particles and deposit them in a bin at the base of the unit. Air is subsequently filtered and returned to the factory.

The safety-type air gun will assist in the cleaning of the part, and this takes place within an enclosure so that no pollution will escape into the air.
