FOR POWER ISOLATION
September 1st 2004

The mGard range of trapped key safety interlocks from Fortress Interlocks now comes with rotary switches for power or control isolation.

The range consists of modular units that control access to enclosed areas. Available in one to 10 module versions, Fortress offers a patented sequencing system with up to 39 000 different sequences in a 10 module arrangement. Simple to configure, units can be extended or trimmed down and surplus modules used elsewhere.

The door module, bolt module and key exchange modules are all available with 20, 32, 63 or 150A rotary switches. When a key is inserted and turned, contacts on the switch are changed. Modules can, therefore, be used to isolate power, controlling access to potentially hazardous areas until a safe condition has been achieved.
