Nederman fume extraction systems, configured and installed by Merlin Industrial Services, have improved fume extraction at the North London factory of gun maker Holland & Holland.

Systems were installed in welding, brazing and soldering and chemical blackening areas. A further system performs general workshop extraction.

A wall-mounted Wallcart stationary filter package including a Nederman N24 radial fan unit with a 2m arm was used for the welding area, while brazing and soldering areas gained two telescopic extraction arms with an N24 fan unit installed to vent to atmosphere.

Similarly, a Nederman N29 fan with 2m arms was installed in the general workshop.

The chemical treatment area has a pair of Nederman bench-top arms using 300mm dia extraction hoods.
