TOUGH FABRIC
September 1st 2004

Designed to protect people from liquid or solid chemicals, asbestos, dusts and fibres, agrochemicals and paint, DuPont TYVEK also protects processes from contamination by people.

Combining comfort with functionality, TYVEK and TYCHEM materials cover all applications, with protection ranging from the TYVEK Model Industry coverall to the complete barrier protection of a fully encapsulating and ventilated emergency response suit.

TYVEK material is tear and abrasion resistant, non-linting, antistatic and chemical splash resistant to 0.12bar. TYCHEM C consists of a substrate of TYVEK plus a polymeric coating, while TYCHEM F is said to have an ultra high chemical barrier performance.
