Elfab has extended its Flo-Tel burst-detection range into the bursting panel market with the introduction of Panel Flo-Tel.

This is an ATEX-approved burstdetection device supplied as standard with the company’s range of ATEX-endorsed bursting panels.

Suitable for arduous applications, the sensor has ATEX accreditation for use in Zone 0 and Zone 20 hazardous areas.

It is based on Elfab’s magnetically-actuated detection system that gives an open signal once the panel has operated. The system guarantees fail-safe detection and reduces the risk of spurious alarms. No mounting brackets are needed and connection to an intrinsically-safe circuit is said to be straightforward.

Panels are of 316 stainless steel as standard, but can be supplied in other materials. They operate over a set pressure range of 0.05 to 0.5barg and from -40 to 250°C.
