Extracts dust
January 1st 2004 Dust extraction systems by Carter Thorne have been installed in Finsbury Instruments new factory in Leatherhead.
Two Polytex L22 units and five small Dustand units serving individual workstations handle cobalt chrome dust created in linishing and polishing parts for joint replacement products.
In this installation, the Polytex units are sited internally. The addition of a top-mounted particle arrestor (hepa) operating with efficiency of 99.997% allows cleaned air to be vented back into the working area.
Polytex dry units use a powerful fan to extract dust from individual or multiple workstations, trapping it in a filter bag system. In a multiple installation, units may be switched on individually, bringing further energy efficiency. More articles from Carter Environmental Engrs Ltd: |
