Four new monitors
May 1st 2005

Four ATEX approved, intrinsically safe, portable instruments have been launched by Casella CEL.

• VOC Pro is a handheld, photoionisation monitor that quickly and accurately detects levels of total VOCs in potentially explosive atmospheres. It has a large, easy-to-read LCD and provides rapid detection of a wide range of organic compounds.

• The I.S. version of Casella’s Apex personal sampling pump allows employers to undertake personal and area sampling for dust, fumes, gases, vapours and VOCs in potentially explosive atmospheres.

• An I.S. version of the CEL-320 and CEL-360 series noise dosimeters allows users to carry out personal noise dosimetry in potentially explosive atmospheres. The series has been designed to be intuitive, with all the necessary international noise dose standards built in, so no set-up is required and data is easy to download.

The Microdust 880 is a handheld real time dust monitor capable of giving instantaneous and time averaged results of aerosol concentrations. An LCD has been combined with a microprocessor to provide a user-friendly interface.
