Greater awareness

MTA is highlighting the need for manufacturers to be more aware of safety procedures associated with new machinery and equipment and is publishing new, revised Codes of Practice for sawing machines, grinding machines, machining centres, turning machines, milling machines and drilling machines. Two further updated codes will be available later in the year covering presses and transfer machines. The new Codes of Practice replace the yellow books that have served suppliers and users of machine tools effectively for the past 25 years.
