Brigade Electronics says fines, such as the one imposed on a DIY firm where a customer was crushed to death by a forklift, can be avoided easily and cheaply.

Philip Hanson-Abbott, MD, says For just a few pounds you can buy a reversing alarm and for just over Ł100 a CCTV reversing system, so there’s no excuse.

The company has introduced a new range of Backalarm reversing and warning alarms. The range includes fixed volume, self-adjusting, constant tone, dual function and bbs-tek broadband sound models.
