RCD testing November 1st 2004 Even if inadvertently connected to a live three-phase supply, RCD testers in Megger’s new RCDT300 range are said to remain undamaged and to present no hazard to the user.
Available in three models, the testers feature compact ergonomic design, making them easy to handle and use. They have a tough impact-resistant body with a rubber overmoulding and a built-in display cover. All models are water and dust resistant, with an IP54 ingress protection rating.
The low-cost entry level RCDT310 is suitable for use on supplies between 100 and 280V.
The mid-range RCDT320 covers a range of 50 to 290V, allowing use with centre-tapped 110V supplies. It incorporates ramp testing for RCD tripping current measurement and Megger’s auto sequence test feature. The top of the range RCDT330 has all the features of the RCDT320, plus facilities for testing programmable RCDs. More articles from Megger Limited: |
