Audiometers for hire
March 1st 2007 First Stop Safety has launched an Audiometer rental package that allows companies to carry out hearing tests using suitably trained staff. The Control of Noise at Work Regulations came into force in April 2006. These brought in hearing tests for everyone exposed to more than 85dB of noise over a working day. First Stop Safety comments that it is also good practice to test the hearing of new staff to establish a base-line. The industrial audiometer package is pc-controlled and easy to operate. It comes with a quick guide, guidelines to a good audiometric programme, health questionnaire and user manual. Test results are presented graphically and saved for further analysis.
