Rental package
May 1st 2007 First Stop Safety has launched an
Audiometer rental package which
allows companies to carry out
hearing tests using suitably trained
staff.
The Control of Noise at Work
regulations came into force in April
2006 and brought in hearing tests
for anyone exposed to more than
85dB of noise over a working day.
First Stop safety points out that it is
also good practice to test the
hearing of new staff to establish a
base-line.
A cost effective solution is to
train staff to carry out these tests
and to hire an Audiometer when
required.
The Industrial Audiometer
Package is PC-controlled and easy
to operate. Manual and Guidelines
to a good Audiometric programme
