A new twist to safety
May 1st 2006

To eliminate the problem of accidental disconnection of pneumatic equipment while under pressure, which can have serious consequences for machine shop personnel, Legris has developed a range of twist-action, twostage safety couplers.

The C9000 safety coupler deliberately breaks with tradition by using a double rotation of the sleeve to prevent accidental disconnection. A first, anticlockwise rotation flushes the circuit downstream on the probe side. Only then does the component allow clockwise rotation, which will disconnect the body and probe. The short time taken to vent the system - down to 344 ms - guarantees system safety, even if the coupler is disconnected at speed.

The C9000 Series extends to more than 200 versions. Numerous probes and adaptors have been incorporated to provide for interchangeability and compatibility.

Body composition is a lightweight, impact-resistant engineering polymer to protect the couplers from shock during use and reduce the risk of scratching to any items in production.
