September 1st 2007 Safety relays from Dold Industries
now include Wireless standalone
and user-programmable
multifunction systems.
The new Safemaster W wireless
system consists of a lightweight,
compact transmitter which has a
Category 4 E-stop pushbutton and
up to eight programmable
semiconductor outputs, controlled
by four two-stage pushbuttons and
a green reset pushbutton. It is
intended for users who require
access to dangerous areas for setup
and crucial maintenance work
and allows machine control
functions and E-stop facilities.
System handover from
conventional to remote safety
operation is enabled by coded key
and a monitored charging unit.
This can be augmented by an IR
target module to ensure handover
and reset can only be achieved
when the user is within a safe
operating area.
The system has a range to 600m
and can be used as a standalone
wireless safety system, model BI
5910 or integrated with Dold's
switch programmable Safemaster
M multifunction system, via model
