Brake motors
March 1st 2005

AEG Electric Motors’ AMS/AMMES brake motors (three and single phase) are engineered to help woodworking equipment manufacturers comply with PUWER 98 and ACOP safety standards.

With DC coil, low torque braking, they meet the industry’s requirement to stop most machine tools within 10sec. The time lag is intended to prevent damage to machinery and to prevent hazardous situations arising.

The motors are failsafe units and are only marginally longer than standard machines
