Procter Machinery Guarding offers a free guide to machinery guarding standards. Available as a PDF that can be printed by the recipient, the six-page guide is the second edition of the On your guard guide. It has been updated to reflect changes in standards and there are additional references to conveyor guarding.

In addition to information about standards, the guide offers advice on how to approach the design of guarding and the specification of the access control system. Useful contact details include those of the HSE, BSI and DTI.
