Hose safety
March 1st 2009

The BFPA Hose Assembly Technology (HAT) scheme is soon to benefit from a new element that amounts to a foundation course based on 'Safe Practise When Working with Hose'. This has a strong emphasis on safety, with the aim that everybody working with hydraulic hoses will have completed the foundation element prior to commencing the full HAT course.

The aim is that all companies involved with hydraulic hoses, in any capacity, will have at least one employee trained, qualified and functioning to HAT 3 level.
