Machine guarding November 1st 2008 Industrial safety specialist, Troax,
has supplied Safe-Fix machine
fencing systems to automated
conveyor and mechanical handling
systems specialist, Marwel
Conveyors, to enable the company
to meet health and safety standards
for installations on its clients'
premises.
An essential element of Marwel's
service is to provide a full risk
assessment of new installations
and ensure physical protection is
provided for staff working alongside
potentially hazardous equipment.
Troax's Safe-Fix machine guarding
meets these requirements, enabling
the enclosure of even the most
complex conveyor configurations to
provide a safe working
environment.
Safe-Fix machine fencing is a
robust, modular system of welded,
wire mesh panels, constructed
from steel tube for strength and
resistance. The small mesh size of
100 x 23mm allows close
positioning to equipment,
maximising use of space yet still
meeting safe distance requirements.
The modular design makes
it suitable for complex equipment
layouts where there are many
conveyors coming into and out of
an area. More articles from Troax (UK) Limited: |
