New range of light curtains
March 1st 2005

The range of light curtains available from Erwin Sick now offers users a choice between a simple machine guarding solution and more advanced systems that combine complex blanking and control functions with safety bus compatibility.

Suitable for most machine tool guarding applications, the entry level C4000 Basic combines operator safety with value-formoney.

Providing maximum Type 4 point of operation finger and hand protection, it is certified to IEC/EN61496 parts 1 and 2 and can be integrated into a machine control system in accordance with Category 4 of EN954.

For more complex systems, the C4000 Advanced includes new functions to help improve productivity of machinery in specific applications.

Users of presses, for example, can retrofit the device and take advantage of the stroke initiation feature to automatically start the machine as soon as the operator is clear of the danger area.
