New software
July 1st 2008

Pilz Automation Technology has released a new version of its PAScal software package for performing the calculations required when designing safetyrelated control systems for machinery in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1 or EN IEC 62061.

PAScal helps users ensure compliance with the standards' requirements, saving time and costs. Version 1.2.0 includes a calculation graph as per EN ISO 13849-1, and has enhancements to functionality and usability. It runs on PCs with Microsoft Windows Vista.

As well as an intuitive graphical interface that enables users to visualise the safety system architecture, the new version lets users open multiple projects – useful with complex machinery.
