Comfort and protection
May 1st 2010

Howard Leight by Sperian has launched a push-in ear plug for occupational hearing protection. The new Pilot ear plug features a hybrid design that combines the performance and cost savings of the Quiet multiple-use ear plug, with the comfort of the Max single-use plug to deliver long-wearing comfort and total control over fit.

Pilot inserts easily into the ear with a simple fingertip twist of the non-obtrusive navigation stem for a quick, snug and comfortable fit. Noroll insertion delivers instant protection and there is no wait for the fit to be complete.

The soft, pearl-skinned polyurethane foam is resilient and easy-to-clean. The push-in ear plug adapts to the shape of the ear canal for a comfortable fit – for eight minutes or eight hours of hearing protection.

With an SNR rating of 26, Pilot provides consistent hearing protection and ensures appropriate attenuation in medium to low noise environments (95 dB or less).
