Bata Industrials has developed footwear to protect workers in, for example, the glass industry where puncture hazards to the upper part of the foot are a hazard.

Both the Wetzlar boot and Goslar shoe have a special ballistic material lining as used in bullet proof vests. This enables the footwear to exceed the EN 388 Class 4 puncture test by Satra.

The Wetzlar and Goslar offer the wearer protection on the side of the upper. The puncture hazard from glass and other hazardous materials has been almost eliminated due to the lining.

In addition to side protection there is a steel mid sole to protect the sole of the foot. The TriTech sole offers 300°C heat resistance and good slip resistance. The footwear also offers a high level of comfort and climate management.

Sizes range from 4 to 13.
