Longer cuff for latest gloves September 1st 2008 Ansell has broadened its portfolio
of industrial gloves with the
introduction of a long cuff version
of the single-use Touch N Tuff
nitrile glove.
Chemical
tests by an
independent
agency have
demonstrated
that the glove
offers a high
level of
protection
against
chemical
substances
and with its
longer cuffs,
the new 92-
605 version
will further
increase
levels of protection.
Trials by Centexbel, a Belgian
notified body, measured the
resistance of the Touch N Tuff
glove and 11 of its competitors to
chemical permeation from 10 key
chemicals in the principal chemical
families.
According to Ansell, the findings
showed that no other single-use
nitrile glove tested resists a greater
variety of industrial chemicals for a
longer period
than the
Touch N Tuff.
Other
features
include a
high level of
puncture
resistance
which is said
to be three
to four times
higher than
that of some
similar
neoprene or
Natural
Rubber
Latex gloves.
Made from 100% nitrile, the
glove helps to eliminate the risk of
latex allergies and shows no
evidence of risk from irritation or
type IV allergies.
