Presenting protective clothing and seminars

Protection, is displaying a
range of new Tyvek, Tychem and
Nomex protective clothing
solutions and will be giving
informative presentations.
New products in the Tyvek range
include Tyvek Dual, a protective
coverall that features a front and
sleeves made entirely from Tyvek
fabric and a highly breathable back
panel made of DuPont's finely
engineered advanced composite
technology fabric, Tyvek Dual
provides the wearer with extra
comfort in addition to the
protection of Tyvek in most
exposed areas. A range of Tychem
accessories complements the
coveralls, giving extra protection
where it is needed.
The company will also present
Nomex Metal Pro Plus, a heat-andflame
resistant fabric engineered
by DuPont and selected weavers,
knitters and garment
manufacturers in the Nomex
Quality Partnership Programme.
The fabric offers a high level of
protection against molten metal
splashes and sparks.
Ian Samson and Elaina Harvey,
protective clothing specialists, will
be giving free presentations in the
seminar theatre. Samson will talk
about the correct method of
selection and use of chemical
protective clothing; Harvey will
present the latest information on
protection against burn injury from
electric arc, including the imminent
introduction of an IEC standard for
garments, updated test methods
for types of arcs and introduction
of a revised European Standard to
protect against heat and flame.
