Safety seminars announced
March 1st 2007 DuPont Personal Protection has organised a range of events for people who specify safety clothing that protects against occupational risks such as intense heat and flame, harmful chemicals, dust and fibres, biological agents, cuts, abrasion, grease and dirt. The company will give 'best practice' advice on specifying safety clothing, and guidance on how to wear it correctly. The UK programme includes industry events, exhibitions (including Safety & Health Expo and Health & Safety 07), seminars and a demonstration using the DuPont Thermoman. Using flash fire in a controlled environment, the mannequin is able to evaluate areas of burn injury, time to burn injury and degree of burn when clad in various protective garments, including those made of Nomex.
