Available from Aearo is a new earplug featuring patented foam that reacts to the wearers body temperature, softening to give greater comfort and lower pressure in the ear, while providing a high level of protection (36SNR). E.A.R. Classic soft earplugs have a smaller cell structure and are said to feel smoother to the touch than other foams. They start out in a form that is firm enough to make roll down and insertion easy. However, as the foam warms to the bodys temperature, it becomes softer and shapes to the users ear canal. This shaping enables the plugs to form a good seal against noise, while providing comfort for the wearer.
