Wash range

Hughes Safety Showers has developed a laboratory range of emergency safety showers, eyebaths and facewash fountains that are fully compliant with the new draft European Laboratory Standard that is set to supersede the German DIN standard (12899).

Laboratory showers will be required to deliver higher flow rates and, therefore, flow characteristics will change, necessitating larger pipework sizes and different spray nozzles to enable them to match the improved requirements for the new standard.

Eye and facewash fountains will be fundamentally the same. The new Hughes models with integral lids reduce the need for regular cleaning programs. The lid also protects against damage and, when lifted, automatically activates the unit.
