Jalite's Photoluminescent stair edge markers, visible in complete darkness, enable personnel to quickly identify the correct means of escape, avoiding confusion and panic. Markers can be installed as part of a stairway safety wayguidance system or as stand alone products to highlight stairwells and individual stairs.

Installing markers to the edge of the stairs reduces the amount of likely contact by foot traffic.

Made in PVC with foam adhesive backing they are easy to install.

Jalite's AAA Photoluminescent materials are said to be 3-4 times brighter than the industry standard.

In the 1993 bomb attack in the underground garage of the World Trade Centre, generators were destroyed, so occupants had to evacuate in total darkness. After the attack, Photoluminescent paint was applied to stairwells. 9/11 followed and the system was put to the test.

Jalite says at least one third of the survivors interviewed recalled that the system was useful and reassuring, aiding their evacuation.
