Ergonomic lift and tilt table March 1st 2005 Edmolift has invested heavily in the development of its ALT series of lift and tilt tables. The results of this investment, it says, prove that the lift table industry still has a great deal of untapped potential.
Edmolift supplies conventional Xtype mechanism scissor lift tables.
Pallet lifting, loading bay lorry loaders, floor-tofloor goods lifts and height adjustable workstations are all familiar applications for these versatile lifting machines.
The company says, however, that it has measured a demand among its clients for a lifting product that takes requirements for good working environment ergonomics to the next level. A product is needed that not only elevates the load to a comfortable position, but tilts the load to within easy arm’s reach so that bending or stretching by the operator is no longer necessary.
Darren Papani, director of Edmolift UK, says that being able to tilt the load towards the operator is a big advantage and that the most popular application for this type of product is the lifting and then tilting of pallet bins.
Stretching to reach the far side of the bin can be awkward and the bins are often very deep. The new device is designed to eliminate this stretching.
The new lift table technology uses a special Ztype scissor mechanism. Flat bed and low profile U-shape models are in production. Capacities of 750, 1500 and 3000kg are available. More articles from Edmolift UK Limited: |
