Pallying around May 1st 2008 The Pally has been developed by
Loadhog and is a solution which
combines a pallet and a dolly. It
has been adopted by Dovecote
Park, a supplier and processor of
British beef for Waitrose, to move
product directly and easily lineside,
without the use of pump
trucks.
In pallet form it provides a
stable, 800mm x 600mm base
which, with a single pedal push at
either end, is transformed into a
mobile wheeled dolly unit for loads
to 500kg. Turned back to pallet
form in the same way, the Pally is
ideal for secure picking, stacking
or transit.
Previously, Dovecote moved
ordered product between
butchering and packaging lines
using individual tray sized units
with a fixed wheel base. The Pally
gives the flexibility to move more
product in a format which still fits
between product lines and is easy
for packaging operators to handle.
The stability of the Pally as a pallet
also provides safe stacking and
picking from the tray and the
precision manoeuvrability of the
Pally as a dolly also makes the
operation faster. More articles from Loadhog Ltd: |
