Slip-resistant coating November 1st 2007 Continuous movements of forklift trucks at the storage warehouse of Polymer Logistics in Grangemouth had resulted in severe wear to the floor surface and smooth areas susceptible to slip issues. Industrial flooring contractor K Systems proposed a solution that would provide a more durable, coloured surface over the 1000m2 concrete floor, that would cope with the heavy duty wear and provide slip resistance. The solution was the installation, in just four days, of a Sikafloor 261 epoxy coating system. K Systems refurbished the floor surface by mechanically preparing the old concrete floor using captive shot blasting. The Sikafloor 261 was then applied with encapsulated aggregate within the system to provide a slip resistant, textured coating. More articles from Sika Limited: |
