Seminar date November 1st 2004 BARA, the British Automation and Robotics Association, will host a Machine Safety Seminar at Salford University on 18 January 2005.
The event is aimed at managers and engineers responsible for machine safety within their work environment, designers of safety control circuits, and those responsible for ensuring that machinery meets current safety regulations.
John Madden, principal inspector from the HSE will discuss machine safety standards and legislation.
Other sessions will be led by experts from industry.
Starting with an introduction to CE marking and PUWER, the seminar will explain how to apply the Essential Health and Safety Requirement of the Machinery Directive to an automation cell, and how to comply with the most commonly encountered EN standards.
