 Cost-efficient package
January 1st 2005

HepcoMotion has developed a ball screw version of its Profile Driven Unit that will shown on stand C6 at Machine Building 2005 (16 and 17 February NEC).

The PSD120 has been introduced to meet demand for a system with good universal performance in a cost-efficient and maintenance-free package.

The versatile, single or multi-axis system combines the company’s Herculane wheel technology with a ballscrew drive. The integrated linear guide and ballscrew drive – accuracy Class 7 – are housed in a high strength aluminium beam with a continuous sealing strip to protect the internal mechanism.

The company’s DLS family of belt driven linear transmission units has proved a popular addition and now the options have been extended. The DLS5, a larger unit with a 50mm wide belt, will also feature at the Machine Building show. This development increases the load carrying capacity of the current DLS and complements the company’s other driven options.
