Hörmann offers its entire range of manual and power operated industrial doors with 3rd party certification in readiness for the harmonised standard BS EN 13241, Part 1, for industrial doors that comes into effect on 1st May 2005.
The company’s John O’Brien explains From this date, CE marking under the machinery directive will require 3rd party certification by a testing laboratory classed as a notified body. Tests include initial type testing for all the mandatory safety elements of the supporting standards BS EN 12406 mechanical aspects and BS EN 12453 safety in use of power operated doors.
