High-end P-touch electronic labelling machines from Brother offer an array of functions for industrial applications. They can be connected for use with a pc, allowing the user to download text, symbols, images, logos and barcodes to highly durable labels. The companys TZ and HG labels are designed to withstand arduous environments and can cope with heavy abrasion, exposure to chemicals, sunlight, water and extreme temperatures. The new PT-9500 has a print speed of 40mm/sec using the latest HG (high grade) tape. compatible with Microsoft Visio diagramming software and with an optional network facility, the machine is suitable for high volume labelling in a variety of harsh environments. Other P-touch models for industrial use include the PT-3600 and 9600. Both are Visio-compatible and have the rotate text feature, printing vertically on labels for easy reading after being applied to cables or piping. The PT2450DX is now pc compatible, giving the user the ability to print off labels from Microsoft Visio.
